Nothern Yelek

During the second half of the nineteenth century, women in northern Palestine cities such as Acre, Tiberias and Safed used to wear the Yelek . The Yelek is a coat with slits on the sides worn during the cold weather. It was considered to be an elegant women's wear worn for the cold weather.
