WUJOUD MUSEUM DURING THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY 2016
WUJOUD Museum hosted 16 staff members of the American Consulate in Jerusalem on February 3, 2016 .They toured the Museum and listened to a brief history about the City and the significance of the place with its location in the heart of 4 Quarters in the Old City .
On the same day, students from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem visited the Museum for a lecture on the Palestinian cause.
A 21 member group, from ECC-Studienreisen GmbH, Kirchliches und Kulturelles Reisen from Germany, currently staying at Abrahams Herberge, Beit Jala, West Bank met with aMachsom Watch member at WUJOUD Museum on February 9th. The woman talked about the violations of human rights against the Palestinians at Israeli checkpoints in Jerusalem and the West Bank.
On February 14, a delegation from the World Council of Churches, Switzerland visited the museum and experienced its hospitality. Ms. Nora Kort, founder talked about the history of the place and the purpose of the Museum.
In the context of food and politics, a 17 member delegation, including journalists, from the Tower of David in Jerusalem, the Museum of History visited WOUJOUD Museum on the 26th of February .They listened to the story of the Palestinian cuisine of Jerusalem in its historical, social, political and gastronomic contexts.
WUJOUD Museum hosted the United States Consul General, Mr. Donald Blome and his wife with the key staff from the Public Diplomacy Unit at the Consulate on the 29th of this month. The Consul and his delegation toured the Museum, listened to a brief history on the place and its location and saw the museum’s collection.
